Mission Community Skills Centre Society is one of the largest providers of employment assistance services in the Fraser Valley.
Infocus worked with the board of directors and senior staff to design and facilitate collaborative conversations that resulted in a written strategic plan that was transferable to organizational activities and actions.
Identifying Barriers
While Mission Community Skills Centre Society provides great services, there was no clear strategy or plan for innovation and sustainable growth for the future. The senior staff and board of directors wanted create a vision for what their organization could become in the coming years.
Tools that Fit
InFocus helped the organization evaluate their context, design a process to pursue, facilitate collaborative conversations with key stakeholders and harvest key ideas and actions. InFocus helped put the plan into written format and move the plan into action with accountability. We used Patrick Lencioni’s six clarifying questions as the structure for the conversation.
Taking Action
The collaborated conversations facilitated by InFocus provided broad input and were the foundation for the plan that was created. The result was an actionable plan with united agreement among key stakeholders on where the organization is going and how they’re going to get there.
The Way Forward
As Mission Community Skills Centre Society puts their plan into action, they can feel a resonance with their goals, plan and pathway going forward. Staff and board are excited about a renewed vision and have increased energy for the next steps outlined by their plan.
